Berlin: Carina Linge - On Desire

Galerię Jarmuschek + Partner niełatwo znaleźć, choć warto to miejsce zapamiętać (znajduje się na tyłach Hamburger Bahnhof Museum für Gegenwart). W gruntownie odnowionej i przebudowanej Halle am Wasser urządzono coś w rodzaju inkubatora galeryjnego - w długiej hali znalazło się miejsce dla kilku galerii z ciekawą, czystą przestrzenią ekspozycyjną. W ramach Europejskiego Miesiąca Fotografii można było tutaj zobaczyć wystawę Cariny Lange pod tytułem "Über das Begehren" ("O pożądaniu"). Tytuł moim zdaniem średnio trafiony dla tych zdjęć, bardziej widać w nich problem samotności, obcości oraz kłopotów w relacjach społecznych. Zwał jak zwał - fotografie mają klimat i zapraszają do starannie wystylizowanego świata. Na dodatek pani galerniczka chętnie i cierpliwie odpowiada na stawiane pytania... :-)

The Jarmuschek + Partner Gallery is not easy to find, although it is definitely a place to remember (located straight behind the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum für Gegenwart). Halle am Wasser, completely renovated and converted, constitutes a kind of gallery incubator - in the long hall there is place for several galleries with interesting, clear exhibition space. During the European Month of Photography the Carina Lange exhibition "On Desire" was shown here. I think the title was not quite justified for these pictures, as you can see in them first of all the problem of loneliness, alienation, and troubles in social relations. Call it as you wish - the photographs have pretty engaging atmosphere and invite you to the carefully stylised world. In addition, the gallery staff does willingly and patiently answer the questions asked ... :-)
