TWO - Gołąbki / SHP - Russulas

Gołąbek winny / Russula xerampelina

This time of year forests are full of colourful and visually attractive Russulas. Some of them are edible, however correct assessment of the species (there are over 200 of them within the Russula genus) can be difficult, as the colour of the cap is only one of a few criteria to be involved. The individuals of one species can also significantly differ in colour, which results from the unique proportion of various dyes in each one of them.

One more thing - due to the questions arrived - the mushroom photographs have not been taken with the RX100 - its close-up capabilities are not that great... :-)
